Daniel Thorne, creator and lead tattooist of The Ink Factory has had a passion for drawing since he could hold a pencil, winning a national drawing competition at the age of 7 and has continued to thrive and grow as an artist.
In 2010 Dan was introduced into the world of tattooing and has had the privilege of working with some of the best tattooists in South coast, giving him the knowledge and skills to become a leading tattoo artist. One of his proudest moments was having a tattoo of his featured in The Daily Star
Heidi, apprentice tattooist. I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember.
I began to use my talent for art by auto-airbrushing for my Dad’s company, which was a stepping stone into the tattoo industry.
I was fortunate enough to get an apprenticeship in a tattoo shop in Eastleigh.
My favourite form of tattooing is photo realism, having said that I am openly interested in other styles of art.
I am really grateful for this opportunity for an apprenticeship at the ink factory.
